The main feature of the weather in the first quarter of 2005 was definately the rain. High winds in mid February took down 2 tall trees in the woods. The following week, sudden snow overnight, left the ground white, but only till lunchtime.

February 05, The fallen trees in the woods

The saga of the bridge continues, as in the third week of March, floods washed the two tree trunks downstream once more. The trees were recovered and replaced at a higher point, just before the hill lambing started so Iain can cross daily on his way to Lagandarroch hill. Pictures show that good balance is required!

April 05, Iain on the resited 'temporary' bridge

At the begining of April, we enjoyed a visit from Canadian cousins, Jim and Mae MacNair and their daughter Onnolee and grandson Eli.

The field lambs are now well on and hill lambing started on 20th April so Hamish and Iain are at the hills daily while Alasdair is Spreading Dung and Ploughing.
