What's happening now on Turnalt Farm

The Sheep

Things have been very busy in the sheep department and all the clipping and dipping has now been completed. The weather has been very kind this year and there was no hold ups. On 29/7/00 we had a surprise arrival on the farm because a very late lamb was born! The figures for the amount of lambs born this year are in the table below.

The Cattle

All is quiet on the cattle front at the moment. Our photographer has now obtained a better picture of one of the Limousin bulls with some cows.

The Crops

It has been very busy on the crops side of things as well, the hay and the silage has all been baled and the potatoes and turnips are doing fine. Again the good weather has helped in having the hay and silage completed before the end of July.
